The summer solstice also marks the day when the sun is at its highest point in the sky for the year.
In Latin, solstice means, "sun standing still," which refers to the sun's place in the galaxy on that day. It is a day that has been celebrated since ancient times and is one of the earliest astronomical observations in human history. So, yes, you could say it's a pretty important day. We can depend on the sun’s rays to give growth to our gardens but it can even send us the same powerful energy to help us grow spiritually and heal.
To reflect on ourselves
The summer solstice is also about your relationship with yourself, and inner reflection is a huge part of that. Take a stroll in nature alone, write down your emotions in a journal, read a book or even try talking to yourself.
